Prices, configurations and release date of the new ASUS GL552 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M
A couple of days ago ASUS announced its new GL552 series, which aims to satisfy the entertainment needs of gamers, who couldn’t spend too much on their next machine. GL552 has almost the same body as G551 and GL551, but it’s like their little brother, as far as GPU performance (and the price, of course) is concerned.
The new GL552 sports NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 GPU (instead of 960M), as well as a powerful Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor, 15.6-inch IPS FHD screen (or 15.6-inch TN HD), up to 16GB DDR3L RAM, up to 2TB HDD and an M.2 slot (2280) for an SSD drive (SATA 6Gb).
We already know what the first two configurations on the market will be, as well as their European price points. There is only one difference between the two – the processor, which is i5-4200H for the cheaper one (~ 819 EUR) and i7-4720HQ, for the more expensive one (~ 899 EUR). They will be available sometime in April.
You can see the full specs of the aforementioned configurations below.
