Sony Xperia X and its Snapdragon 650 passed our temperature test successfully

We are continuing our parallel tests of Sony Xperia XА and its higher brother Xperia X. We would like to remind you that the latter features a Snapdragon 650 mobile CPU, which we’re testing for the first time. Of course, we are testing not only its performance but also to what an extent it may lead to exterior overheating after a continuous load. For our stress test, we normally use the Epic Citadel app which simulates 3D gaming conditions.

After a few hours have passed, we measure the temperatures in three different section on the smartphone’s back and record only the maximum values. The hottest point in Xperia X was in the camera section – 41.9 degrees Celsius. A tad lower result was registered in the middle – 41.2 degrees. The lowest part remained the coolest – 39.6 degrees. These aren’t the lowest values we’ve recorded in this test but, on the other hand, we are talking about maximum temperatures and other Sony models have performed much worse, so there is no need to worry about Xperia X.
