Despite of Galaxy Tab S2 8.0’s extremely thin body (only 5.6mm), Samsung have managed to find space for a relatively big battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. With main energy-consuming components such as an 8-inch 2048 x 1536 pixel screen and an 8-core processor, it is usually not certain whether the battery life will meet users’ expectations. So far we’ve conducted 2 tests, and it’s time to share some results.
Our Wi-Fi surfing test on Galaxy Tab S2 produced a result of 565 minutes (9 hours and 25 minutes), which we consider to be a relatively good achievement. The 3D gaming test result was even better – 317 minutes (5 hours and 17 minutes). Keeping that figure in mind, let’s also note the available Ultra Power Saving mode, which can extend battery life of the device by restricting some functionality.
You can expect more test results and comparisons in Tab S2’s upcoming review.
