We are pleased to inform you that the HP Pavilion 17 (17-ab300) sports a nice Full HD IPS panel that offers comfortable viewing angles, decent contrast (1180:1) and 88% sRGB coverage. But the good news doesn’t end here – you shouldn’t worry about the presence of PWM either.

According to the tests we have conducted, HP Pavilion 17 (17-ab300) doesn’t use PWM across all brightness levels which means it can be used for long periods of time without causing any negative effects such as eye strain or fatigue. This is certainly one of the main selling points of the device as more and more people nowadays spend their entire day in front of a monitor.

We also suggest browsing our PWM ranking list for other laptop alternatives with the same PWM rating. And if you are interested, you could also install our Health-Guard profile that helps limit the negative blue light emissions and preserves the color accuracy as much as possible at the same time.

Stay tuned for our in-depth review of the HP Pavilion 17 (17-ab300).
