The new Apple M3 Max is shockingly powerful, leaves the fastest Intel Core i9 in the dust
Apple announced their new M3-series chips just yesterday, and we already have the first Geekbench 6 benchmark results, which are more than impressive.
In the multi-core test, the Apple M3 Max goes well beyond the 20,000 mark, scoring 21,084 points. Compared to the fastest Intel CPU for laptops, the Core i9-13980HX, which scores about 17,500 in the same test, the Apple chip boasts a whopping 20% performance advantage.
The single-core results are similar, with both CPUs scoring around 2,900 points, but keep in mind that single-core performance is one of the Intel Core processors’ greatest strengths.
Things could be different in other benchmarks like Cinebench, so stay tuned for our in-depth reviews.
