The new DOOM to be released in a week (trailer + minimal requirements)
Arguably, DOOM is one of the most epic games of all time and fans will be pleased to know that the Bethesda studio is bringing the next title to the franchise next week. We would like to remind you that the very same studio brought one of the most anticipated games – Fallout 4 – last year. We hope they will do their best to meet our expectations on May 13th when the official release is due. You can also download the game two days before the official release via Steam and PS4 stores and as for XBOX Live store – it’s already available.
So here are the minimal requirements followed by the recommended ones.
Minimal system requirements:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
RAM: 8 GB RAM
Available storage: at least 45 GB
Recommended system requirements:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit)
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 or better / AMD FX-8350 or better
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4GB) or better / AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB) or better
RAM: 8 GB RAM
Available storage: at least 45 GB
It’s still too early to judge but DOOM might come out pretty optimized according to the specs. The minimal requirements listed above translate into around Intel Core i5-6300HQ CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M, although we suspect some slower Haswell CPUs and GTX 960M will handle the game at lower settings as well. A good mid-range gaming laptop should be good enough for а fluent gaming experience. And as for the recommended requirements, it looks like the GTX 980M and 970M paired with Intel’s Core i7-6700HQ and Core i7-6820HK should do fine.
Anyway, all of this is just an assumption and we will know for sure after Bethesda releases the game on 13th of May. For now, enjoy the trailer.
