The new Lenovo Yoga 720 will be equipped with a GeForce GTX 1050 and Kaby Lake processor

Lenovo is planning to showcase its new yoga 720 mid-range notebooks at MWC 2017. MWC (Mobile World Congress) is a convention that brings together both leading manufacturers and innovators. This is where companies tend to show their new products to the world. On Lenovo’s side will see the newly refreshed Yoga lineup. We’ll see improvements on the 13.3 and 15.6-inch models. The information comes from an Italian magazine

The new features will include a Kaby Lake processor, fingerprint sensor, USB-C port and a Pascal-based NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. Aesthetically the new models won’t differ severely from last year’s versions. Color options include Platinum Silver, Iron Gray, and Rose Gold while the notebooks incorporate the near bezel-less design. The Yoga notebooks will feature the iconic 360-degrees hinge with built-in Wi-Fi antenna that will allow you to use the device in presentation, tent or tablet mode.

The 15.6-inch model’s specs feature a Full HD (1920 x 1080p) screen, up to Intel Core i5-7200U CPU, 8-16 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM, 256-512 GB SSD storage, 2×2 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, two USB 3.0 and two USB 3.1 ports, as well as one USB Type-C port. The battery will have a capacity of 72 Wh (6-cell). The GTX 1050 with 2GB GDDR5 memory and a backlit keyboard are optional.

What makes the smaller 13.3-inch model stand out is the processor inside – it’s the Core i7-7700HQ which is obviously better than the Core i5-7200U found in the 15.6-inch model. Maybe this is why this time you can’t choose to get it with a dedicated graphics card. The other specs are the same with one difference – the battery has a lower capacity of 48 Wh.

Lenovo equipped its notebooks with a fingerprint sensor and Dolby Audio Premium and JBL sound system. The laptops will come with a preinstalled Windows 10 Home.

The company hasn’t announced information about pricing and availability yet but they would do it at MWC.
