Now that we’re done with all display tests on Alcatel Idol 3 (5.5), it is time to shed some light on its capabilities. From the specs sheet we see that the model features a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen with pixel pitch of 401 ppi, or in other words, it is detailed enough so you won’t be able to distinguish the individual pixels when you look at it from a distance equal to, or greater than 23 cm.
The IPS panel delivers wide visibility angles. Our tests showed great brightness and contrast. The sRGB color gamut coverage is 92%, which makes the colors relatively saturated. They’re also highly accurate, and you don’t have to worry about eye-fatigue caused by continuous usage, because we didn’t detect any harmful light pulsations (pulse width-modulation) across all brightness levels.
