AMD Radeon HD 8750M, codenamed “Mars Pro”, is a mid-range graphics chip, announced in early Q4 of 2012. It is part of the GCN (Graphics Core Next) generation and is constructed through a 28nm process. Its consists of 368 Radeon cores, 28 texture cores and 8 raster cores.
All of them operate at 620MHz, but the Turbo clock functionality can increase that by a potential 25%, up to 775MHz , based on the laptop’s cooling capacity.
The chip also has a 128bit bus and is available with either DDR3 or GDDR5 memory. AMD Radeon HD 8750M supports DirectX 11.1, Pixel Shader 5.0, OpenCL 1.1 and OpenGL 4.2. Memory bandwidth goes up to 64GB/sec.
