AMD Radeon R5 M255, codenamed “Sun”, is a mid-range graphics chip, announced on May 1, 2014. It is part of the GCN (Graphics Core Next) generation, constructed through a 28nm process, and it has 320 Radeon cores, 20 texture cores and 8 raster cores. They all operate at 940MHz and there is no Turbo option.
It has a 64bit bus and comes with either 2GB or 4GB of DDR3 memory. Radeon R5 M255 supports DirectX 11.2, Enduro, ZeroCore, Eyefinity, PowerTune and Shader 5.0.
