AMD Radeon R9 M265X, codenamed “Venus Pro”, was announced on March 21, 2014. It is part of the GCN (Graphics Core Next) generation and is constructed through a 28nm process, containing 1500 million transistors. Its consists of 640 Radeon cores, and they all operate at 625MHz.
The chip also has a 128bit bus and GDDR5 memory. AMD Radeon R9 M265X supports DirectX 11.1, Shader 5.0, OpenGL 4.3 and OpenCL 1.2 among other technologies.
