AMD Radeon R9 M275, codenamed “Venus”, is an upper mid-range chip, announced in early Q1 of 2014. It is part of the GCN (Graphics Core Next) generation and is constructed through a 28nm process, containing 1500 million transistors.
Its consists of 640 Radeon cores, and they all operate at 925MHz, while the memory clock runs at 1125MHz. Apart from them, Radeon R9 M275 includes 40 TMUs and 16 ROPs.
The chip also has a 128bit bus and GDDR5 memory. AMD Radeon R9 M275 supports DirectX 12, Shader 5.0, OpenCL 1.2, Eyefinity and ZeroCore among other technologies.
