[Comparison] Intel Core i7-10875H vs Intel Core i7-9750H – The Core i7-10875H emerges victorious with a 40% lead in Cinebench 15 and half a second in Photoshop

When talking about CPUs, Intel’s name is by far the most recognizable of the bunch, since they had been on the top of the food chain for so long. In recent years, however, with AMD’s Ryzen processors entering the conversation, Intel’s complacency was on full display. They had been so used to being on top, they forgot how to be competitive.

Now, they seem to be getting their act together and releasing new interesting CPUs that are actually very good. Today we will be revisiting the golden days of Intel’s dominance by comparing two Intel processors in the faces of the Intel Core i7-10875H and the Intel Core i7-9750H.

CPU benchmark

The CPU results were not surprising. The more cores, threads, and higher clock speeds on the Core i7-10875H proved to be very valuable as it performed 40% better in our Cinebench 15 benchmark, which tests the CPU’s ability to handle 3D rendering tasks. As for the second test, which involves Adobe Photoshop, here we saw the Core i7-10875H emerge victorious once again, this time with a lead of nearly half a second.

Results are from the Cinebench 20 CPU test (the higher the score, the better)

Results are from our Photoshop benchmark test (the lower the score, the better)

Conclusion

To conclude the results above, the Core i7-10875H proved to be the better chip, unsurprisingly, by being 40% better in Cinebench 15 and half a second faster in Photoshop. The extra cores and threads definitely helped it, and it is a newer generation CPU, which in itself brings improvements, that while on paper seem rather small, tend to add up and contribute to such results.
