Intel has done a total renovation of their CPU lineup, with Alder Lake being the missing piece that once again puts them on top of the food chain. Today we have two processors, each from a different generation. On one side, sits the Core i7-1255U, with its 10-core/12-thread setup, DDR5 support, and 15W TDP. On the other hand, we have a 35W chip, from the unsuccessful Tiger Lake H35 series. The i7-11370H has been overheating and not performing well, regardless of what machine we test with it.

Today we are comparing the Intel Core i7-1255U against the Core i7-11370H.

Despite the massive TDP advantage, the Core i7-1255U provides 26% more performance in 3D Rendering and is 1.3 seconds faster in Adobe Photoshop.

Conclusion

As you can see, you can get more performance with the Core i7-1255U. The CPU also has a lower TDP, which should equate to better battery life. However, if you need a laptop for everyday use, and you don’t really care about performance and just need a device that will work smoothly, a Tiger Lake H35 laptop could be the thing you’re looking for. Due to the bad rep, we have seen laptops with them go for decently low prices, so you can find good deals.
