[Comparison] Intel Core i9-13900HX vs Core i7-12700H – Unprecedented performance
The second generation of Intel’s hybrid processors is looking very promising if the Core i9-13900HX is to be taken in as evidence. The CPU has already claimed the #1 spot on our Top Laptop CPU Ranking, dethroning the Core i9-12900H. For today, however, we have a different opponent, one that’s much more mainstream and is easily found inside notebooks both budget and high-end. Of course, we’re talking about the Core i7-12700H, which is a beastly chip with great performance, that’s still more than viable since its power won’t wain away, it’s just that we have new SKUs that are more powerful. The Core i9 comes with 10 extra cores and 12 more threads, along with plenty of extra cache.
Today we’re comparing the Core i9-13900HX against the Core i7-12700H.

CPU benchmarks
Comparing the 3D Rendering scores of both CPUs, the Core i9 has an insane lead of 43% in the Cinebench R23 benchmark.
Results are from the Cinebench R23 CPU test (the higher the score, the better)
Conclusion
Thanks to its extra hardware resources, like the more cores, threads, and cache, the Core i9 manages to deliver exceptional results in benchmarks that absolutely push the envelope of performance further and further, which can only help in increasing competitiveness and putting AMD on blast. Now Team Red has to answer and answer big, otherwise, Intel will be running away with the lead, making it harder and harder to catch up.
