ARK: Survival Evolved is a great-looking game that takes place in a prehistorical time. The player is set on an island full of dinosaurs and other similar creatures. You have to survive and in order to do that you have to play strategically – you need to hunt animals for food, you can craft weapons to fight other creatures and hostile humans, and you can even build a base.

The game looks great, especially on Epic quality but it’s not the lightest title out there. For example, a powerful GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 [Laptop, 95W] can’t reach the 60 FPS mark on Epic Quality. For this comparison, we have prepared two RTX mobile powerhouses – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W).

Verdict

Sure, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) is 39% faster on Low settings compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (150W) but perhaps no one will buy a laptop with a high-end GPU to play this game on Low. Further down the road, the difference between the two GPUs is really small. On Epic quality, the bigger GPU is 7% faster, and given the price difference between the two rivals, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti [150W] is the logical choice when it comes to ARK: Survival Evolved.
