[FPS Benchmarks] Cyberpunk 2077 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W) – RTX 3080 is just 5% faster on average

Not everything was going smoothly for Cyberpunk 2077 when the game was released by the end of 2020. The title was unpolished and it was full of bugs but now, the game is definitely in a playable state. Still, the Cyberpunk looks great, the soundtrack is good, and the single-player campaign is really long – not bad at all.

The good news is, that the title isn’t that heavy if the ray tracing is turned off. Let’s take the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 [Laptop, 100W] for example – this is a mid-range GPU that is able to deliver around 60 FPS on Ultra quality and if you lower the visuals, the FPS will be much higher – 120 FPS on Medium probably sounds like a smooth gaming experience for most of you. For this article, we’ll compare the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) and RTX 3060 (140W).

    Verdict

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) is just 5% faster compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 (140W). Yes, the latter has a much higher TGP which probably helps a lot in games like Cyberpunk 2077. Still, both GPUs are meant for different laptops – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (95W) is suitable for thing gaming machines while the cheaper GeForce RTX 3060 (140W) can be found in bigger notebooks because it has higher TGP so it needs a significant cooling (which takes more space and weighs more as well).
