[FPS Benchmarks] Elden Ring on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W) – RTX 3080 is 5% faster

Elden Ring is a FromSoftware RPG game that has a lot in common with the Dark Souls games that are developed by the same studio as well. Because of its challenging gameplay, Elden Ring is a very successful and popular title. The player has at its disposal one huge open world for free-roaming full of creatures and other humans. Of course, as an RPG, you can level up your character, you can loot weapons and you can expect a lot of tough fights because that is a Souls-like game.

In terms of graphics, the engine does its job and the title looks good. By default, the FPS is locked to 60 but it can be easily unlocked with some software tools that can be easily found online. Still, not the heaviest game out there – a mid-range GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (140W) can show 100 FPS on average on Maximum quality. For this comparison, we have picked the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) and RTX 3070 Ti (150W).

    Verdict

Yes, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (150W) is faster than the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (150W) but it’s just a 5% lead which isn’t something significant. Both GPUs offer great and almost similar performance. However, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti [150W] isn’t as expensive as the GeForce RTX 3080 [150W] and it costs less.
