[FPS Benchmarks] PUBG on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) and RTX 3080 (130W) – the 165W GPU is 12% faster on average

PUBG Battlegrounds is one of the most popular battle royale games up to date. There are a couple of reasons for that – the first one is the gameplay which is addictive and fun at the same time and the second one is the fact that the game went free-to-play which attracted a lot of new players.

Moreover, the title isn’t as beautiful as Apex Legends or Call Of Duty: Warzone but it’s light and you can play it with a not-so-powerful machine. A 4GB video card like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 [Laptop, 55W] can deliver almost 100 FPS on High quality which should be just enough for most people. Still, gamers with fast refresh rate display will probably need a lot more FPS and that’s why for today’s comparison we have picked two powerful video cards – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) and RTX 3080 (130W).

    Verdict

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) is 12% faster on average compared to the GeForce RTX 3080 (130W). Okay, that’s just normal because the 165W rival has a bigger TGP which leads to higher frequencies during gaming. Still, the 130W sibling isn’t a slouch at all and it can show more than 200 FPS on Ultra quality and at the same time, this GPU costs less.
