[FPS Benchmarks] Red Dead Redemption 2 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (90W and 115W) – a close battle
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a very successful game that is developed by Rockstar Games. Just like GTA V, RDR 2 is a real blockbuster and you have a big open world full of missions and side quests.
This game uses the RAGE engine, (again, just like GTA V) and the visual representation is very good. On the other hand, if you want to turn up every visual setting to its max level, you’re going to need an expensive device with super powerful hardware.
Aside from the costly hardware, we’ll take a look at some mid-range GPUs – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (90W) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (115W). They aren’t expensive and fast as GeForce RTX 2080 Super but at the same time, their performance seems enough for most unpretentious gamers.
Let’s see how many FPS these two can show when it comes to Red Dead Redemption 2.

Verdict
Not much of a difference though. Sure, on Ultra the 115W GPU is 20% faster but the game is unplayable with 18 FPS. Between Low and High the performance gap is somewhere between 2% and 8%. You’ll hardly spot the difference between the two video cards if you don’t look at the FPS counter.
However, if the price gap between these two rivals is close you should get the bigger GPU because in some other games it offers more performance over the 90W sibling.
