日本[FPS Benchmarks] Rocket League on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) – the bigger one is 25% faster on average
Rocket League isn’t that new anymore but its gameplay is fun and that attracts a lot of players. The formula of success is simple – it’s something like soccer (football) but instead of footballers you have cars and one really big ball to hit.
The game is free-to-play which means everyone can download it and play it. The title uses Unreal Engine 3 and it’s not that heavy – a lot of mid-range GPUs can reach 60 FPS on High-Quality mode. For today’s comparison, we have two GPUs that can go way over the 60 FPS mark with maxed-out visuals – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W).

Verdict
Yep, expectedly the 130W GPU is 25% faster on average. Bigger TGP, higher frequencies – more performance. So, 414 FPS on High Performance and 325 FPS on High Quality means that you can play it on a 300 Hz panel and probably the gameplay will be smooth as butter.
Now, the 85W GPU isn’t bad at all when compared to its bigger sibling. Okay, it’s slower but for an 85W video card, the frames per second are just fine. And as always, you can have this fella in thin machines while the 130W graphics card requires significant cooling which leads to thicker and heavier devices.
