Conclusion
First, we should note that we’ve tested the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V in a laptop with a smaller chassis – the 14-inch ASUS Zenbook S 14 UX5406. That could give the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 a bit of an ‘unfair’ advantage, but it should only be a few percent, and as you can see, the scores are so different that we don’t need to be more precise to determine which CPU is better for your needs.
It’s simple: if you plan to do heavy work on your laptop, the Ryzen AI 300 is your choice. If you’re mainly using it for office or school work with some casual gaming, go for the new Core Ultra.
