As soon as we found out that benchmark results of the new Ryzen 9 5900H were leaked, we started some preliminary comparisons against some of the top processors from our Top Laptop CPU Ranking, where you can check out the best-performing CPUs. Today we have the new Ryzen 9 going up against a very formidable foe, in the face of the Intel Core i7-10875H.
This comparison is preliminary and it will be updated when we have more tests available.
|AMD Ryzen 9 5900H||Intel Core i7-10875H|
|Cores / Threads||8 / 16||8 / 16|
|Base / Max frequency||3.10 – 4.50GHz||2.30 – 5.10GHz|
|Lithography||7 nm||14 nm|
|Architecture||Zen 3||Comet Lake H|
To no surprise, the Ryzen 9 5900H took the victory in both Single-core and Multi-core, by 18% and 15%, respectively. Although the Core i7 has a higher clock speed, the newer 7nm Zen 3 architecture really shows off its performance gains.
