How to open Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) – disassembly and upgrade options
Upgradeability is quite limited on this model. On the bright side, there are more advantages to this notebook that make it worth it.

1. Remove the bottom plate
To get inside this device, you need to undo 9 Torx-head screws. Then, simply pry the bottom panel with a plastic tool, starting from the back.
2. Remove the battery
Here, we find a 65Wh battery pack. To take it out, unplug the battery connector, and undo the two Phillips-head screws, holding the battery in place.
3. Upgrade memory and storage
Like the 16-inch model, this machine can be found with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, soldered to the motherboard. Storage-wise, there are two M.2 PCIe x4 slot, which support Gen 4 SSDs – one is positioned to the right of the battery, and the second M.2 slot is concealed under the ribbon cable near the fans.
Great storage upgradeability for such a thin and light 14-inch notebook!
4. Cooling system
In terms of cooling, you’ll find two heat pipes, a rather long heat sink, and two relatively small fans. In addition, the VRMs are cooled by a heat spreader.
