Lenovo Yoga 910 (FHD, IPS) display profiles – Quality and Health impact results

lenovo_yoga_910_14-inch_narrow_bezel_front_silver_windows_10screenfill-720x720We had the chance of reviewing the Full HD model of the Lenovo Yoga 910 and we are thrilled by the excellent performance of the display in our tests. However, in the pack below, you will find the usual Health-Guard, Office work / Web design and Gaming / Movie Nights profiles, each of which will improve the overall image quality in certain aspects. You can read more about them here and how to use them. We also suggest reading our dedicated article regarding blue light emissions and PWM and how our custom profiles help eliminate both to certain extend.

The Lenovo Yoga 910 has a Full HD IPS panel with 95% sRGB coverage, high contrast ratio (1240:1) but somehow low maximum brightness. Well, low for comfortable outdoor use under direct sunlight but otherwise, it will do just fine in normal lighting conditions. Of course, there’s always some room for improvement with notebook screens nowadays and our profiles will deliver overall better image quality by correcting color reproduction, limiting the blue light emissions and fixing the gamma.

Since our profiles are tailored for each individual display model, this article and its respective profile package is meant for Lenovo Yoga 910 with 13.9″ panel manufactured by AU Optronics with model number B139HAN03.2 featuring Full HD (1920×1080) resolution and the machine can be found at Amazon.com: Lenovo Yoga 910.

Office Work / Web Design

This profile aims to deliver the most accurate colors possible in the sRGB gamut – the colors used on the Web. That makes it suitable for Office work and, in some cases, for Web Design. So as you can see on the image below, the dE2000 is 6.5 out of the box but when our profile is installed, this value is much lower – 1.2.

We’ve also adjusted the gamma curve and white balance to fit the standards.

Gaming and Movie Nights

You can take advantage of the Gaming and Movie Nights profile, which will improve the overall visibility – especially in darker areas of the image – during gaming and watching movies (you can see an example here).

Health-Guard profile

As for the Health-Guard profile, it reduces the blue light impact and eliminates the PWM. But since the screen doesn’t use PWM for regulating screen brightness, the profile will still be useful when it comes to blue light emissions.
