[Specs and Info] ASUS Vivobook 14 OLED (X1405) and Vivobook 15 OLED (X1505) – Mainstream OLED
We love to see OLED panels become more mainstream and while you still have to sort of pay a premium for them, they are readily available. Today we have two ASUS notebooks, which come with high-res OLED panels.
They are also very powerful, harnessing 45W H-series processors from the new Raptor Lake family. With that and the way Intel’s iGPUs have improved, we can have relatively well-priced and portable machines that can handle complex tasks, including video rendering, thanks to Intel’s Quick Sync encoding cores.
Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the ASUS Vivobook 14 OLED (X1405) and the Vivobook 15 OLED (X1505).

Design
The Vivobooks come with a neat design, however, there isn’t any information about the materials. We do expect to see some metal at least for the lid, if not for the entire chassis. Of course, we once again see a plaque on the back of the lid, with ASUS and Vivobook branding. There is a difference between the 14-inch and 15-inch notebooks, mainly the fact that the 14-inch Vivobook lacks a NumPad. Of course, ASUS has a plan for that, by giving you the option to get a NumberPad, which can be toggled and basically gives you a fully-fledged NumPad.
Weight | Height | |
---|---|---|

Display
Both laptops come with a 2.8K OLED panel with 90Hz for the Vivobook 14 OLED and 120Hz for the Vivobook 15 OLED. The panels come with an infinite contrast ratio, ensuring very deep blacks, a peak brightness of 600 nits in HDR mode, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, a 0.2 ms response time, and PANTONE validation for color accuracy.
Specifications and features
Both laptops rely on the Core i9-13900H, a CPU that is supposed to be very powerful and should be quite hard to cool down, so ASUS seriously have their work cut out for them. With 14 cores and 20 threads, along with the 45W TDP, you have a lot of power to direct at any task. For graphics, you have the Iris Xe Graphics G7 with 96 Execution Units, which have done decently for Creator work, especially in smaller and more compact devices.
In terms of ports, the two Vivobooks have the same coverage, with one USB 2.0 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
