Today, we give you a quick overview of the Dell Vostro 16 5620.

Full Specs: Dell Vostro 16 5620

Design

Dell is very unclear about the build materials, but we have dealt with several Vostros in the past, so we know what to expect. The AMD version of this notebook, the Vostro 16 5625 comes with an aluminum unibody, which is pretty durable while maintaining a lightweight and slim profile. The same can be said about the Intel model, which weighs only 1.97 kg and has a profile of 17.95.

Display

The display selection is decent, with a base model with an FHD+ IPS display. The 250 nit max brightness should be enough for most occasions, but you might enter problems outside or in very bright rooms. There’s also a 3K display at least on paper, but Dell has provided no specifications about it.

Specifications and features

The notebook comes with both U-series and P-series processors from Intel’s Alder Lake family. This gives you a lot of options, depending on what you want to use the device for. If you’re more laidback and use your laptop mainly for simple and menial tasks, the U-series will suit you very well, delivering excellent efficiency and prolonging battery life. On the other hand, if you plan on doing heavier work on the device, you might want to check out the P-series which has nearly double the TDP.

In terms of graphics, the device comes with the integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7 and the Mx 550, which seems to be a popular choice with Dell devices. Maybe Dell decided to buy in bulk and now is trying to put an MX 550 in every laptop possible.

The laptop is pretty equipped in terms of ports, with a single Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, an HDMI 1.4 port, an SD card reader, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There is an optional fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard, while a Full HD webcam comes as standard.
