[Specs and Info] MSI Prestige 13 (A12Mx / A13Mx), Prestige 14 (B13Mx), and Prestige 16 (A13Mx) – Refocused for 2023
MSI has done a lot to elevate its business notebooks and the Prestige 15 was one of the best last year. Not only did it bring a lot of features, but also managed to deliver incredible performance from its Core i7-1280P. For 2023, the Prestige 15 is gone, being replaced by the Prestige 16 and 16 Studio, but we’ll leave the Studio version for another time. However, all three new Prestige devices come with a P-series chip and productivity-oriented 16:10 displays.
Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the MSI Prestige 13 (A12Mx / A13Mx), Prestige 14 (B13Mx), and Prestige 16 (A13Mx).

Design
The Prestige series offers a minimal and sleek design, with sharp edges rounded corners and an overall flat and rectangular appearance. The Prestige 13 has a specified build material, using a magnesium-aluminum alloy, which allows it to be especially portable, with a weight of only 990 grams and a profile of just 16.9 mm. The Prestige 14 and 16 are a bit heavier, at 1.49 kg and 1.90 kg, respectively.

---|---|---|

MSI Prestige 14 (B13Mx) | 1.49 kg | 17.9 mm |
MSI Prestige 16 (A13Mx) | 1.90 kg | 16.85 mm |
Display
The Prestige 13 and Prestige 14 laptops come with a Full HD+ IPS panel. The Prestige 16 gets a better screen, with a QHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, so general use will feel very smooth and responsive. With the taller panels, you can stack more apps simultaneously, which should improve your workflow.
Specifications and features
All three Prestige laptops come with the Core i7-1360P, with 12 cores and 16 threads. You’ve got no discrete graphics, instead relying on the integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7 (96EU). The iGPU has shown to be capable of doing complex graphic work, especially when it comes to video encoding, so the Prestige laptops should be pretty good as a portable editing station.
As the Prestige series wants to appeal to the business crowd as well, MSI has outfitted the devices with fingerprint readers, as well as Full HD webcams and IR sensors for face recognition. The laptops have good connectivity as well, with Wi-Fi 6E. The port selection is decent as well, with even the smaller Prestige 13 getting one USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The Prestige 16, thanks to its larger chassis can fit one more USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) port.
