[Specs, Info, and Prices] HP EliteBook x360 830 G9 – Pricey, but is it worth it?

The EliteBook x360 series from HP is one step above the ProBook laptops, offering an elevated computing experience, not only from a business perspective but for daily use and entertainment as well. Today we have the smaller EliteBook x360 830 G9, which has a compact 13.3-inch form factor, a productivity-focused 16:10 IPS display, and Alder Lake U-series processors, so you would have less cooling and power requirements, which allows for a smaller battery and cooling setup, allowing the laptop to be even more portable.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the HP EliteBook x360 830 G9.

HP EliteBook x360 830 G9: Full Specs

Design

The laptop remains unchanged on the outside, with aluminum for most parts, while things like the bezel frame around the display and the antenna lines on the top of the lid are made from plastic. The back has a very modern HP logo, which is glossy. In terms of weight and height, the laptop weighs only 1.32 kg and has a profile of 19.2 mm.

Display

The display has a FHD+ resolution that comes in several configurations. The base configuration maxes out at 250 nits of brightness and no sufficient sRGB coverage. However, there is a panel with 400 nits peak brightness which fully covers the sRGB gamut, as well as a 1000 nit panel with HP SureView Reflect and EyeEase technologies, which limit the viewing angles and make the contents of the display unreadable unless you’re sitting directly in front of the device.

Specifications and features

The laptop offers four Alder Lake U-series processors with up to the Core i7-1265U, which comes with 10 cores and 12 threads. It can also reach speeds of up to 4.80GHz, however, you would need exceptional cooling, which we rarely see in small laptops like this one. The GPU options are limited to what’s inside the CPU, with the Iris Xe Graphics G7 taking center stage.

The port selection includes two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There’s also an optional SmartCard reader.
