3 reasons to BUY the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen

1. The build

Aluminum is used for the body, and the lid is made of carbon fiber. That’s why the weight of this machine is just 1.10 kg and the profile is 15mm only. The lid is easily openable with a single hand – very nice for such a thin and light device.

2. Battery life

A 51Wh battery pack and so much life in it – more than 16 hours Web browsing and over 13 hours of video playback. For such a small battery unit those results are impressive.

3. The performance

In terms of performance, the laptop is snappy in every situation. We tested it with an 8th Gen Intel ULV processor and we were more than pleased after we saw the capabilities of this device.

2 reasons not to BUY the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen

1. Soldered RAM

So sad, the RAM is soldered – no upgrades no matter if you need more RAM or not. That’s a shame.

2. The heat

During our stress test the device reached 52°C – this is more than we were expected. If you use it for normal office work there is no way to reach that level of temperature.
