🥉Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-46) – #3
We’re starting off really strong, with the Acer Nitro 5, which got a massive remodel in 2022, which still makes it one of the best overall options for a gaming laptop, even with Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA’s new CPU and GPU options. The configuration here has a sturdy plastic build, a more modern design, and a powerful Ryzen 7 6800H, an 8-core chip with decent efficiency, considering the 45W power limit. The GPU is where things get really spicy. You get a 150W RTX 3070 Ti, which is a beast of a GPU at any resolution.
The powerful graphics can absolutely tackle any game, even at the QHD 165Hz display that we have here. The cooling is good too. Overall, the Nitro 5 for 2022 and beyond has been one of the best laptops that you can get, so if you need a strong laptop for gaming, video editing, or other serious work, this might be the best option at the moment.

🥈 Dell G15 5530 – #2
The Dell G-series of laptops do come with very good performance and heavy-duty cooling, however, the design and chassis are heavy-duty too. We’ve got sharp edges, corners, and an aggressive appearance. It’s a bit of a burden to carry, however, weighing in at 2.81 kg. On the other hand, the cooling inside is pretty amazing, with plenty of copper and two well-sized fans to keep fresh air coming into the system.
As for the configuration that’s on sale right now, you get a Core i5-13450HX, a 10-core CPU with an increased 55W power limit, as well as an RTX 3050. The 3050 was revamped for 2023, with the newer version getting a 6GB frame buffer and a 25% higher CUDA core count. The memory bus has been shortened to a 96-bit one, however, for 1080p gaming, the Dell G15 5530 still brings a capable GPU. The 1080p panel that the G15 comes from is ideal for the 3050, as the GPU is able to max out or nearly max out most games at this resolution.

Dell G15 5530 in-depth review
While it has plenty of knowledge from its Alienware brand, Dell insists to make its G-series gaming notebooks its own way. With compromises and at least one thing that makes absolutely no sense. For the past couple of years, this particular feature is the weight. In a world where gaming laptops are getting progressively lighter and thinner, Dell makes machines that simulate a shoulder workout in less than 15 minutes.Nevertheless, all of this might be for a reason, because we have noticed that the manufacturer has equipped its G15 5530 with a 140W RTX 4050. Yet again, the RTX 4000 GPU l[...]

The old-school formula of just adding a good GPU to a random office laptop has given us a lot of “sleeper” gaming laptops that are pretty affordable. The Acer Aspire 7 (A715-43G) offers a mix of Ryzen 5000U-series processors, which bring plenty of power for gaming while remaining efficient, as well as an RTX 3050, the premiere 1080p Gaming GPU.
The cool thing with the Aspire 7 is that while it can game and perform when needed, the RTX 3050 can rest when you’re just browsing the web or doing menial office work. This way, you get more than 10 hours of battery life in our web browsing test, and 9 hours of video playback. So you get the efficiency of an office machine, with the performance of a budget gaming laptop, which is the ideal scenario for a lot of students who also like to game.

Acer Aspire 7 (A715-43G) in-depth review
Once upon a time, there was a niche in the market, where Acer was untouchable. It was the "almost gaming notebook" segment. We are talking about devices like the Aspire Nitro series of the past. Nowadays, they are swapped by entry-level gaming machines. As proprietary solutions, they offer a lot more than the half-gaming, half-office machines.Acer's own Nitro brand is one perfect example of this, as is the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming. However, the continuation of the Aspire 7 means that there is still a market for such machines. This one in particular - the Aspire 7 (A715-43G), features an A[...]
