Dell G7 17 (7790) – simply a G7 15 (7590) in a bigger chassis

A while ago we acquainted you with a new 15-incher by Dell – the G7 15 (7590). Today we would like to introduce its bigger brother to you.

You can check its in-depth specs and more information here: https://laptopmedia.com/series/dell-g7-17-7790/

Starting with the CPU, everything is just the same as in the G7 15 (7590). We are looking at the Intel Core i7-8750H and Intel Core i5-8300H which are in the top 10 of our Top Laptop CPU ranking. Turning our heads to the GPU department, the situation is exactly the same – we find the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-QNVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Laptop) as well as the good old NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB GDDR5).

Memory-wise, the current configs come with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1000GB SSD + up to 2000GB HDD for storage. As for the screen, it is a 17.3-inch one and you can choose from two IPS panels – a Full HD (1920 x 1080), 144 Hz option and a Full HD (1920 x 1080) one.

Another similarity is found in the connectivity options even though this device is bigger. We find a single USB Type-C 3.1 (3.1 Gen 2) port (Thunderbolt 3, DisplayPort, HDMI), three USB Type-A, an HDMI connector, a LAN port, and more.

Additionally, if there is something keeping you from buying this bad boy, alternatives are the MSI GS75 Stealth and Lenovo Legion Y740 (17″).
