HP EliteBook 860 G9 gets a color accuracy injection by our Gaming and Web design profile
While the EliteBook series from HP is expensive enough that the display should outright offer good color coverage, coverage is a lot different than accuracy, as it doesn’t matter if you can see a lot of colors, but they’re all mixed up and appear different on paper than they do on your screen.
For that reason specifically, we have our Design and Gaming profiles, which are tailored for a specific notebook, to allow the screen to be as accurate as possible.
Color accuracy
The base color accuracy of the EliteBook 860 G9 is way off, with a dE value of 5.8. However, with our profile, it goes down to 1.2, which is quite a bit lower than the 2.0 baseline that the industry follows. Keep in mind that this profile is only for the models with a panel number BOE NE160WUM-N61 (BOE0A02).

Since our profiles are tailored for each individual display model, this article and its respective profile package are meant for HP EliteBook 860 G9 configurations with 16.0″ BOE NE160WUM-N61 (BOE0A02) (WUXGA, 1920 x 1200) IPS.

Office Work
Office Work should be used mostly by users who spend most of the time looking at pieces of text, tables or just surfing. This profile aims to deliver better distinctness and clarity by keeping a flat gamma curve (2.20), native color temperature and perceptually accurate colors.
Design and Gaming
This profile is aimed at designers who work with colors professionally, and for games and movies as well. Design and Gaming takes display panels to their limits, making them as accurate as possible in the sRGB IEC61966-2-1 standard for Web and HDTV, at white point D65.
Health-Guard
Health-Guard eliminates the harmful Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) and reduces the negative Blue Light which affects our eyes and body. Since it’s custom tailored for every panel, it manages to keep the colors perceptually accurate. Health-Guard simulates paper so the pressure on the eyes is greatly reduced.
