Intel Arc Graphics 140V Gets in Our Top Laptop Graphics Ranking, Surpasses GeForce RTX 3050

The Core Ultra CPUs by Intel arrived with a bang, and while some were disappointed by their multi-core performance, we appreciated them for what they are—built not for benchmarks, but for real-life, everyday use.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 258V we tested in our ASUS Zenbook S 14 UX5406 review showed remarkable single-core performance, comparable to AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 / 365, which are also a significant improvement over their predecessors.

However, the real highlight of the Core Ultra Series 2 is the integrated Arc GPUs. All Ultra 7 and Ultra 5 CPUs come equipped with Arc Graphics 140V, which easily delivers 60 FPS gaming even on heavy titles. But that’s not all—it surpassed the 40W variant of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 in our Top Laptop Graphics Ranking!

The results are from 3DMark Time Spy (Graphics). Higher is better.

The results are from 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Unlimited. Higher is better.

We haven’t tested the Arc Graphics 130V yet, but since it’s slightly downclocked and has one fewer core, it shouldn’t be far behind the performance of the 140V variant.
