Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) review – OLED is becoming mainstream

    Disassembly, Upgrade options, and Maintenance

To get inside this device, you need to undo 9 Torx-head screws. Then, simply pry the bottom panel with a plastic tool, starting from the back.

Here, we find a 65Wh battery pack. To take it out, unplug the battery connector, and undo the two Phillips-head screws, holding the battery in place.

Like the 16-inch model, this machine can be found with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, soldered to the motherboard. Storage-wise, there is one M.2 PCIe x4 slot, which supports Gen 4 SSDs.

In terms of cooling, you’ll find two heat pipes, a rather long heat sink, and two relatively small fans. In addition, the VRMs are being cooled by a heat spreader.

Does the 16″ OLED panel have the same performance characteristics and image quality? Is it comparable to the 14″?
