ASUS Zenbook 14 (UM3402) review – all-aluminum build and color-accurate 1600p display at an honest price
Temperatures and comfort, Battery Life
Max CPU load
In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.

The CPU clock and the power limit under any kind of load are very good for a light and thin laptop. In long periods of stress, the processor can sustain a 3.04 GHz frequency and a 30W limit which is a respectable result.
Gaming comfort
The cooling fan is producing more noise compared to the ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED (UP3404) in “Performance mode”. However, this only applies when the CPU is stressed at max. On the outside, the keyboard isn’t scorching hot – you can use it comfortably while benchmarking the processor with Cinebench R23.
Battery
Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. This laptop’s 75Wh battery pack lasts for 22 hours of Web browsing or 15 hours of video playback.
