Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i (16″, 2022) review – its display is fantastic
Temperatures and comfort, Battery Life
Max CPU load
In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.
Average P-core frequency; Average E-core frequency; CPU temp.; Package Power

The IdeaPad Gaming 3i (16″, 2022) completely obliterates the other two laptops we’ve tested with this processor. It runs at high clocks and at low temperature.

You have to keep in mind that this GPU is “limited” to 105W. It runs sustainably at this power target, and we are happy to report that the temperature is relatively low. Also, we have to mention that we used the “GPU Overclock” function from the Lenovo Vantage app. This includes a 100MHz Core and 200MHz VRAM offset.
Gaming comfort
Interestingly, the noise levels were not very high, even with the OC. Apparently, Lenovo has done a fantastic job with this notebook’s cooling design. In addition, the hot spot of the keyboard is also within reasonable margins.
Battery
Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. This device features a 71Wh battery pack. It lasts for 6 hours and 23 minutes of Web browsing, or 6 hours and 35 minutes of video playback.
Thanks for this I bought the same laptop with i7-12650h and RTX 3050 Ti, and the thermal throttling is unbelievable. with the cinebenchr23 (and everything else)it stays around 90-95 degrees… and lowers the speed to 1.5ghz. very sad and I hope changing the factory thermal paste will solve everything(will put Arctic mx-6) you gave me hope!!
