Lenovo LOQ (15″ Intel, 2023) review – low price, high performance

Max CPU load
In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.

Looking at the power figures, we see that the LOQ (15″ Intel, 2023) isn’t particularly impressive. Especially in the long extreme loads, where it “only” runs at 70W. In addition, the E-core clocks are inversely proportional to the P-core ones, and we see a big discrepancy by the end of the test.

What is even more interesting, is that the 15-inch LOQ performs pretty much the same as the 16-inch device. However, it is running quite warmer than the Dell G15 5530 for example.
Gaming comfort
Even with the GPU overclock function enabled, the laptop is not too loud, and its keyboard gets too warm.
Battery
Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. This laptop’s 60Wh battery pack lasts for 6 hours and 25 minutes of Web browsing, or 6 hours and 15 minutes of video playback.

In order to simulate real-life conditions, we used our own script for automatic web browsing through over 70 websites.
