Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 (Intel) review – light device with quiet fan and long battery life

    Performance: CPU, GPU, Gaming Tests

All benchmarks and tests were conducted with the “Best performance” preset activated in the Windows “Power & Battery” menu. Also, the “Scheme for AC” in the BIOS is set to “Maximize Performance”.

    CPU options

Nine CPU options are available – Intel Processor U300, Core i3-1315U, Core i5-1335U, Core i5-1340P, Core i5-1345U, Core i5-1350P, Core i7-1355U, Core i7-1360P, and Core i7-1365U.

Here, we evaluate the CPU's performance using a real-world 3D rendering task, assessing its ability to handle complex computations and rendering workloads efficiently.

Results are from the Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core test (higher is better)

    GPU options

If the iGPU isn’t enough for your needs, you can get the optional NVIDIA GeForce MX550.

    Gaming tests

    cs-go-benchmarks

    CS:GOHD 1080p, Low (Check settings)HD 1080p, Medium (Check settings)HD 1080p, MAX (Check settings)
    Average FPS83 fps76 fps40 fps

    DOTA 2HD 1080p, Low (Check settings)HD 1080p, Normal (Check settings)HD 1080p, High (Check settings)
    Average FPS99 fps58 fps34 fps

The iGPU of the Core i7-1355U is the Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 (96EU), but in this case, the CPU in our laptop has the 80EU version. Moreover, since there is just one 16GB DDR4 RAM stick installed the integrated solution functions as Intel UHD Graphics (because the memory works in a single-channel mode). Still, it has enough power to achieve 76FPS on average in CS:GO on Medium settings.
