Lenovo V15 Gen 3 review – third generation of plastic efficiency
Design and construction
This notebook’s design resembles a woven texture. However, the laptop is entirely made out of plastic. The material is hard, which gives the lid some structural support, but the base seems to lack any chassis enhancement on the inside of the bottom half of the body. This leads to some flex when you twist the body.
On the bright side, the machine is pretty light. It stops the scales at 1.70 kg and has a profile of 19.9mm. Ultimately, it is a rather average-looking device, which is not too bad.
Well, the lid can’t be opened with a single hand, despite the “handle” on the top bezel, making griping it a bit easier. Interestingly, all of the bezels around the matte display are pretty thin. Above the panel, there is an HD Web camera with a physical privacy shutter on top of it.
Moving to the keyboard, we see a lack of a backlight, but the presence of a NumberPad, and spill resistance. It is somewhat comfortable for typing thanks to the rather long key travel and clicky feedback. However, you should be warned that the feedback is not very uniform with some keys feeling softer than others.
Thankfully, the power button is separated from the rest of the keys. In addition, the touchpad feels responsive and has pretty accurate tracking. Well, its size of 69 by 104 mm is a bit small, but at least the Mylar surface offers a decently smooth gliding experience.
Turn the laptop upside down, and you will find the two speaker cutouts and the ventilation grill. This is where the laptop draws its cool air from. After that, it exhausts it via the single fan, through a vent in between the base and the lid.
Ports
On the left side of the device, there is the power plug, a USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, an HDMI 1.4b connector, a USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) port with Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 capabilities, and an Audio jack. Then, on the right, you get a Kensington lock slot, a USB Type-A 2.0 port, and a LAN port.

As an IT, i prefer to buy these to newcomers to company. Low quality material but nice performance for intense excel jobs; as long as the hinge brings no problem; i think the buys are good choice for me.
