MSI Bravo 15 C7V review – AMD is still the king of efficiency

    Design and construction

It should be a surprise to no one that this machine comes with an all-plastic body. With that said, it is expected that the lid is a bit flexy. However, the chassis features good internal support and shows some heft.

In terms of dimensions, the Bravo 15 C7V weighs 2.25 kilos and has a profile of 24.9mm. This is pretty standard in this price range. As for the design – well, as we said earlier, it feels like this is the third or fourth time we have this laptop in our office.

Here, the lid can be opened with one hand. The side bezels are pretty thin, as is the top one, while the bottom is quite chunky. Thankfully, there is an HD Web camera above the display.

Moving to the base, we see a backlit keyboard. It uses a 4-zone RGB illumination, which can be controlled through the MSI Center app. Here, you get a NumberPad, as well as large Arrow keys, decent key travel, and somewhat clicky feedback.

The touchpad, on the other hand, is a bit small in our opinion. It is pretty accurate in its tracking, though.

Of course, the bottom panel is home to the two speaker cutouts. In addition, you get a huge ventilation grill. Hot air, respectively, gets exhausted through two vents on the back, and one on the left side of the device.

    Ports

On the left side, there is the power plug, a USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, and a USB Type-A 2.0 port. Then, on the right, you get a LAN port, followed by an HDMI 2.1 connector, a USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) port with DisplayPort support, a USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port and an Audio jack.
