3 reasons to BUY the Dell XPS 15 7590
1. The build
The design of this machine is a bit repetitive but the build is more than fine. It’s made of carbon fiber and aluminum and that leads to an 11-17 mm profile and 1.8kg weight. The body is strong and at the same time, the notebook is portable enough.
2. Battery life
The laptop has a huge 97W battery pack. Expectedly, battery life is impressive – over 16 hours of Web browsing and 14 hours of videos.
3. Large variety of configurations
Dell gives us a lot of choices when it comes to different configurations. The base one features a 1080p IPS screen, UHD 630, and Core i5-9300H which is a nice configuration. If you can stretch your budget for a new notebook you can go up to 4K OLED screen, GTX 1650, and Core i9-9980HK.
2 reasons not to BUY the Dell XPS 15 7590
1. The cooling
The cooling struggles a lot to cool down the internals. Unfortunately, the fans produce a lot of noise while the CPU temperature during heavy loads is around 92°C. At least the video card (in our case GTX 1650) is well-cooled (74°C).
2. The keyboard
This notebook has a rather small keyboard for a 15-incher. The keycaps are small as well as the layout. The arrow keys are half-sized. This isn’t the most comfortable keyboard for people who type a lot.
Looks like U-series and below is the way to go for a quiet laptop.
