Genesis ASTAT 700 G2 review – meant for long gaming sessions

    Design and construction

As we mentioned earlier, the design is kind of stealthy and mature at the same time. However, the look of this gadget can be considered somewhat futuristic at the back because of the Exo Base with its 8-rib shape. Speaking of which, at least for us, when we look at the backside of the chair, it reminds us of Isaac Clarke’s suit from Dead Space.

The good news is that the chair can be used almost anywhere due to its non-intrusive and modern appearance. You can use it at home for gaming purposes or in the office. Even CEOs might like the ASTAT 700 G2 because the chair seems like expensive and high-quality hardware. The base is made of aluminum, which is a good start as it needs to be stable and sturdy while supporting you for many hours.

One thing that catches our attention is the 60mm CareGlide wheels, which are covered with a special anti-scratch material that also ensures smoother movement. This can be a handy solution for those who prefer a minimalistic approach to their room, meaning no floor mats and carpets (since the wheels won’t leave “scars” on the floor). However, the main focus here is the already mentioned Exo Base that is adjustable, and the Mesh PureFlow Plus material used for the backrest and seat.
