Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (15, Gen 8) review – decent unpretentious budget daily driver

Max CPU load
In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.

The Ryzen 7 7730U inside this machine can sustain good clocks even in prolonged periods of 100% CPU load. In this case, the processor temperature reaches 92°C, which isn’t that pleasant.
Comfort during full load
On the other hand, the single fan is audible but not noisy. Additionally, the central and the left side of the keyboard feel a bit warm but not too hot. This means you can use the device comfortably even when the CPU is pounded with a heavy load. If you want to hear less noise and don’t need the full power of the laptop, you can use the “Intelligent Cooling” mode and enable the automatic transition to “Extreme Performance”. In this scenario, the cooling fan will be less aggressive in light usage and you can rely on the max performance of the laptop when you need it.
Battery
Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. This model is offered with a 47Wh battery pack. It lasts for 11 hours and 7 minutes of Web browsing, or 8 hours and 20 minutes of video playback. To achieve that, you have to apply the “Intelligent Cooling” preset in the Lenovo Vantage app and activate the “Balanced” mode in the Windows “Power & Battery” menu.

ho avuto da sempre un problema con identificazione con impronta digitale, Lenovo non ha risolto e nemmeno microsoft, tante volte il pc si avvia senza chiedere identificazione, direi molto grave, mi trovo pentito di averlo comprato.
