Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 review – serious business device with gaming capabilities and long battery life

CPU options
The CPU options include three Raptor Lake-H processor variants – Intel Core i5-13500H, Core i7-13700H, and Core i9-13900H. We bought a laptop with an i7 since it has the same core count as the i9 chip.
Here, we evaluate the CPU's performance using a real-world 3D rendering task, assessing its ability to handle complex computations and rendering workloads efficiently.
Results are from the Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core test (higher is better)
GPU options
Two dGPU variants are available – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 (Laptop), and GeForce RTX 4060 (Laptop). Lenovo is claiming a 115W TGP for both models but the NVIDIA Control panel is showing a maximum possible TGP of 140W for our RTX 4060.

Gaming tests
For our testing, we turned on the “GPU overclocking” function in the Lenovo Vantage app. It adds +200Mhz for the core and +400Mhz for the memory.

The performance of the 140W version of the GeForce RTX 4060 inside of this Lenovo laptop is great. Gaming on Ultra details is an easy task for this GPU.
In the BIOS, you find a “Discrete Graphics” option which will boost the GPU performance if the charger is connected.
