ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA507, 2023) review – superb battery life and display color accuracy

    Performance: CPU, GPU, Gaming Tests

    CPU options

You can find the laptop configured with the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS or the Ryzen 9 7940HS.

Here, we evaluate the CPU's performance using a real-world 3D rendering task, assessing its ability to handle complex computations and rendering workloads efficiently.

Results are from the Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core test (higher is better)

    GPU options

There are three dGPU options – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 (Laptop), GeForce RTX 4060 (Laptop), or GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop), all with a 140W TGP.

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA507, 2023) GPU variants

Here you can see an approximate comparison between the GPUs that can be found in the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA507, 2023) models on the market. This way you can decide for yourself which ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA507, 2023) model is the best bang for your buck.

Note: The chart shows the cheapest different GPU configurations so you should check what the other specifications of these laptops are by clicking on the laptop’s name / GPU.

Results are from the Unigine Superposition benchmark (higher the score, the better)

The GeForce RTX 4060 (Laptop) of our laptop is showing good FPS results in the tested games. However, it looks like the Ryzen 7 7735HS is bottlenecking the GPU by some degree. The same video card performs better in the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 and HP Victus 16 (16-r0000) that we also have tested. They can maintain almost the same TGP as the ASUS device (~105-110W) but the other two laptops are configured with an Intel Core i7-13700H.

Perfect laptop for students with its out of world battery.
Would love more such laptops especially in smaller chassis and non-gaming vibes.

Bottlenecking by the Ryzen 7 7735HS sounds strange for me. Intel Core i7-13620H is better in this case?
