Genesis Radon 800 review – nice priced headphones with virtual 7.1 surround sound

    Design and construction

We already mentioned at the beginning of this article that these headphones are characterized by a neutral design and they really are. The look of it doesn’t scream in your face “for gamers only” which may attract more users who prefer a more traditional design. All the controls that you may need are placed on the left ear cup and that’s the quickest way possible to adjust the volume or mute the microphone. On the same side, you’ll find the jack for the detachable microphone and the Type-C port for the cable.

Yes, these headphones are not wireless but you can detach the cable which is really nice to see. This is quite handy if you want to place them in your backpack or suitcase – they’ll take less space when all the cables are detached and by doing this you’re avoiding potential damage. Speaking of earpads, they are big enough for up to medium size ears (at least we think so), they are pleasantly soft, and they are made of artificial leather. The extra pair is made of soft cloth-like material and it offers better “breathing” for your ears during the summer or for countries where the weather is always hot and the humidity is high.
