HP Envy x360 15 (15-fe0000) review – Unleashing the Hidden Color Accuracy Capabilities of This 2-in-1 Laptop
Temperatures and comfort, Battery Life
Max CPU load
In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.

The optional Core i7-1355U inside of the HP Envy x360 15 (15-fe0000) can sustain high clocks no matter the load. The frequencies during long full CPU stress are impressive for a 2-in-1 laptop.
Gaming comfort
You get four power presets alongside an auto mode called “Smart Sense” in the HP Command Center software. The “Quiet” preset is the way to go for normal daily tasks while the “Performance” mode is suitable for heavier loads. In this scenario, the fan is audible but not too noisy. The keyboard doesn’t feel too hot to the touch even when the processor is pushed to its limits. The notebook can be dead silent in an idle state if you disable the “Fan always on” function in the BIOS.
Battery
Now, we conduct the battery tests with Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. Our laptop is equipped with a 55Wh battery pack. It lasts for around 14 hours of Web browsing or 11 hours of video playback. The result is good. To achieve that, you have to apply the “Balanced” preset in the Windows “Power & Battery” menu and disable the “Fan always on” function in the BIOS. The “Quiet” mode is also applied in the HP Command Center app.
Brightness: 180 nits; Display Mode: SDR
Time to Full Discharge: Higher is Better
