Acer Aspire 5 (A515-58M) review – snappy device with very good display and low price

CPU options
There are four CPU options – Intel Core i3-1305U, Core i3-1315U, Core i5-1335U, and Core i7-1355U. We bought a laptop with an i5 since it has the same core count and cache size as the more expensive i7 model.
Here, we evaluate the CPU's performance using a real-world 3D rendering task, assessing its ability to handle complex computations and rendering workloads efficiently.
Results are from the Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core test (higher is better)
GPU options
For graphics, you can rely on what is inside of your CPU – Intel UHD Graphics (Alder Lake, 64EU), Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 (80EU), and Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 (96EU). On paper, the iGPU of the Core i5-1335U should be the Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 (80EU), but our i5 CPU has the 96EU version instead which is a nice bonus.

The Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 (96EU) isn’t a powerhouse, but here it’s paired with LPDDR5 memory and dual-channel alongside decent cooling. That’s why the iGPU is just fine for playing popular light games on Low or Medium details.

Bewertung für Acer Notebook – Aspire A515-58M-77DY (gekauft im 7. März 2024) Leider kann ich dieses Acer Notebook nicht empfehlen. Schon beim Kauf in Malaysia wurde ich falsch beraten. Mir wurde versichert, dass das Gerät leistungsstark und zuverlässig sei, doch meine Erfahrungen sind anders. Das größte Problem ist die Hitzeentwicklung. Das Notebook wird sehr schnell sehr warm, vor allem auf der linken Seite, wo die Festplatte sich befindet. Ich war überrascht, dass eine Festplatte so viel Wärme produzieren kann.
